CARD PAYMENTS

Our office can accept and process cheque payments for all American Express cards. Payments CANNOT be accepted in local currency but rather in US, Canadian or Pound Sterling; via a Bank Draft, Personal Cheque, or Travellers Cheques.

Credit for a payment made at a Travel Service Franchise Office will not be posted to the account until it is processed at the Remittance Centre in which country the account is based.

Payments are batched and sent from our office via DHL to American Express every Wednesday and Friday. Have your payment delivered to our office before 10:00 a.m. to ensure it is included the same day. The Cardmember name and account number are required for processing.

EMERGENCY CHEQUE CASHING

Card members may obtain funds by cashing a Cheque drawn against a personal overseas bank account. This transaction is subject to limits, frequencies, restrictions and local regulations. These funds are paid ONLY in American Express US$ Travelers Cheques and a Travelers Cheque fee of 1% is charged. Proper identification, the Amex Card and a Personl Cheque are required for this transaction.

All Emergency Cheque Cashing requests are subject to authorization. Card members can in Emergency situations use counter cheques to obtain funds.

The limits on personal cheques vary depending on the type of card product used, while counter cheques have a limit of US$500 equivalent.

EMERGENCY CARD REPLACEMENT

Card members may obtain an Emergency Replacement Card quickly if the card is lost, stolen, or mutilated, in most cases within 24 hours of the request.

At our office, a cardmember will receive a temporary card, valid for up to 60 days. This card is NOT magnetically encoded. Proper identification is required.

TRAVELERS CHEQUES REFUND

A Travelers Cheque Refund is reimbursement for lost or stolen travelers cheques. Upon loss or theft of the Travelers Cheques, customers may receive a same-day refund at our office once the incident has been reported to the Refund Center Claim Unit at Toll-Free #1 800 828 0366 or collect #801 965 2003. This transaction is subject to the approval of American Express, and proper identification is required, i.e. a Passport, Drivers License or National ID.
